Meet the Doctor

Dr. Christopher Callan grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate education at Villanova University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Callan continued his studies and received his Master’s Degree in Biomedicine from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then spent several years working for the American Red Cross.

Dr. Callan later left the Red Cross to pursue his dream of becoming an orthodontist. He received his DMD degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with the highest honors. Dr. Callan then completed his orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center, in New York. During his second year of residency, he received the American Academy of Orthodontics Award for outstanding achievement in Orthodontics.

Dr. Callan is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the American Academy of Orthodontics, and the American Board of Orthodontics. He strives to always continue his education so he can provide the best in quality ortho care for his patients.

When he is not in the office, Dr. Callan enjoys traveling, cheering on the Villanova Wildcats basketball team, and spending time with his wife (some of you may know her as Dr. Kristy of Mercer Children’s Dentistry), and their six children.

Monica brings more than just her bright smile and friendly nature to Callan Orthodontics. Prior to her career in the dental field, she worked for 15 years not only all over the country, but the world, with the leading companies in the hospitality industry. She strives to make each patient’s experience at Callan Orthodontics different from that at any other medical office. Compassionate care and concierge service, where you, the patient, truly matter.

Angela

Angela has lived in Mercer County her entire life. She has a twin sister and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Angela is a Registered Dental Assistant and focuses her talents in orthodontic and pediatric care.

Monica

Monica, more commonly known around the office as “Twitch,” has been working as an orthodontic assistant for the past three years. She is currently studying dental hygiene and plans to go on and receive her dental hygiene degree. When not at work she enjoys crocheting and her cats.

Abby

Abby has been involved in the dental field as a Registered Dental Assistant for 5 years. Recently graduated Rutgers University, she is from Chicago and enjoys spending time with her family and traveling when not at work.

Adriana

Adriana is from Hamilton and has been developing her skills as an orthodontic assistant for several years. She is a triplet, enjoys shopping, and the beach. She is advancing her dental training in school and hopes to become a Dental Hygienist.

what a welcoming atmosphere! This is my second time wearing braces and my first as an adult, which can sometimes be challenging, but they have made the process as painless as possible. Dr. Callan is amazing hands down but I think the stars of the show are the ladies who assist him, Abby and Ang. Besides being extremely kind and friendly, they truly go above and beyond to make each person feel special. They have even gone the extra mile for me with just a change of a rubber band color on an off day, but things like that make you, as the patient, feel special to them because they went out of their way when they didn’t have to. Many times, dental visits can feel transactional, but they make each interaction personal by building connections with everyone in their chair, and the best part is that they actually remember you when you come back for each visit. These ladies create such a warm and inviting atmosphere that would make anyone of any age not dread going to the dentist.

Dr. Callan is an amazing orthodontist. He’s very patient, kind, understanding and friendly. When my kids started there they were both anxious about going and Dr. Callan completely took the anxiety away and now they look forward to seeing him. During appointments he keeps the parent(s) updated about absolutely everything, he takes the time to explain things but more importantly is his relationship with the children. During the visit he talks to the kids about anything, asks about school, any upcoming plans really just talks to build that positive doctor patient relationship at a young age. Choosing him for our children’s orthodontic care was the best decision I could have made. His wife is actually our kids regular dentist too. Amazing family/doctors It If I could I’d give them each a 10/10 rating.
