How can I schedule an appointment with Callan Orthodontics?
You can schedule an appointment by calling the office at (609) 512-5949 during business hours (9 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday), sending an e-mail to smile@callanortho.com, or filling out an online appointment request form. The front office will follow up with some basic questions and to finalize an appointment time.
Do I need a referral from my family dentist to schedule an initial exam?
No, a referral is not required. Many patients are referred by their family dentist, but many others take the initiative to schedule an examination themselves.
What forms should new patients complete before their first visit?
To ensure your first appointment goes smoothly, new patients are asked to fill out the Health History Form and New Patient Form beforehand. You can submit these forms electronically via email at smile@callanortho.com, or you can bring physical copies to your appointment
How long will I have to wait for my scheduled appointment?
Callan Orthodontics respects your time and utilizes electronic systems for paperwork. Dr. Callan is committed to ensuring patients are seen within 5 minutes of their scheduled appointment time.
How often are follow-up appointments typically scheduled?
Appointments are scheduled based on each patient’s specific needs. For most patients in braces, appointments are scheduled every 4–8 weeks.
Can I schedule all my child's appointments after school?
Unfortunately, Callan Orthodontics cannot schedule all appointments for students during after-school hours. However, since most appointments are scheduled 4–8 weeks apart, most patients will miss minimal school. The office will make a sincere effort to meet your scheduling needs.
What accommodations are available for patients with special needs?
Callan Orthodontics provides treatment to patients with special needs. Every staff member is patient, gentle, and thoroughly trained to provide the necessary accommodations. This may include access to nitrous oxide for those who find treatments particularly challenging.
Can the treatment schedule be adjusted for special occasions?
Yes, Callan Orthodontics is committed to flexibility. If you have a special event, Dr. Callan can adjust your treatment to better fit your schedule.
What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule?
What is the procedure for a braces emergency (e.g., broken wire)?
If your braces are causing ** extreme pain** or if something breaks, you should call the office immediately. In most cases, these issues can be addressed over the telephone. If an emergency appointment is required, time will be set aside for you. Importantly, there is never any additional charge for a broken appliance.
